The French/Cameroonian designer decided to follow in the footsteps of renowned designers such as Imane Ayissi and Martial Topolo by lunching ‘WAZAL‘ in 2005. With an array of celebrities such as SINGUILA, Alpeco, WAYNE BECKFORD, ROMARIC Koffi and Lalcko rocking his brand, its wont be an over statement to call his brand a success. “WAZAL” brand name is a blend of “WAZA”, a natural park in the extreme north of Cameroon while the “L” which stands for Lion, the Cameroonian symbol. The natural park symbolizes respect, while the lion symbolizes power. Few of his past collections are below.
WAZAL couture expresses more of casual wear in constant search for innovation, new styles and creativity. Wazal also blends materials such as pure cotton, denim jean, wax, leather, fur, synthetic just to name a few.
His new collections ova suckled “Ova Tété” has received reviews locally and internationally. This collection is inspired by a Cameroonian slang ‘ova’ which means bigger and noble person and Tété which refers to chic and bourgeois. Below you would find few of his works.
